A register of the AI laws that bind an enterprise.

Twenty-nine instruments: US federal orders and guidance, thirteen US state and local laws, the EU AI Act and EDPB, and the main international standards and security advisories. Each entry is written in plain language and linked to the government source. Several are cross-referenced to the NIST AI RMF.

2026-08
OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications: The 2026 edition supersedes the 2024 (v2.0) list. Prompt injection stays at number one, excessive agency rises to number three, and the ranking now weights about 7,700 real-world incidents against the community vote. Published by the OWASP GenAI Security Project on 4 August 2026.
2026-07
EU AI Act: Article 50: The Digital Omnibus on AI (Regulation (EU) 2026/1744) left the text of Article 50 unchanged but added a transitional period: systems already on the market before 2 August 2026 have until 2 December 2026 to meet the Article 50(2) machine-readable marking obligation.
2026-07
Colorado ADMT Act: SB 26-189 repeals the earlier SB 24-205 and replaces it with a consequential-decision disclosure regime, effective 1 January 2027. A federal court had blocked enforcement of SB 24-205 in April 2026 (xAI v. Weiser) before the replacement was signed.

How the register stays current

Every entry shows the date it was last confirmed against its source. Three practices keep that date meaningful.

Re-checks

When an instrument is amended, superseded, or repealed, the change is logged and the entry re-verified against the new text. An automated source monitor is in development.

Sources

Entries quote the government source only: the gazette, the official register, or the issuing agency. Trackers and law-firm notes point us to what to look at, nothing more.

Corrections

When an entry changes, the change is recorded with a date. Entries are not edited in place.
